Warm Winter Wishes

I have a few important people on my Christmas Card list that don't celebrate Christmas. While I do have some snowflake stamps, I don't really have anything I feel like says "Hanukkah". So I went with a different approach with this cute Alpaca. I created the background with Stampin Up inks on Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point and Night of Navy. Then I stamped the snowflake with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The adorable Alpaca was colored with Copics markers. I ADDED glitter to the snow with Tombo Mono Multi liquid glue.
I really love how cute this turned out!

Cute Little Critters Christmas

I had stamped out and colored a bunch of critters from various stamp sets for some if the items I made for my craft shows. Well, I had some extra critters so I used them on cards. I saw this basic layout on a website, but when I went back to give them credit, I couldn't find it.  Our layouts are pretty much the same only I added an extra Kraft layer between the scalloped rectangle and the main image. Also her scallop rectangle had larger scallops.
This one features the dog and sentiment from Avery Elle stamps. The trees are from Lawn Fawn.
The tree and racoons are from Stampin Up's Merry Crittermas.

These little penguin are from Lawn Fawn.

More Christmas Cards

I am continuing to use some of my patterned paper on my cards. I don't always like to use PP (pattern paper) that is mostly white. I have so much trouble figuring out how to make the cards not look washed out when it is mostly white. However I am pretty happy with how these cards turned out The sentiments are all from Stampin Up's Tin of Tags.

Herringbone Technique Christmas Cards

I found a new technique to try when making cards and since I have so much patterned paper that I don't really know what to do with I tried it. All of the papers on this card are from Love Nicole's "Winter Whimsy" 6x6 patterned paper. The blue background is (I believe) Pool Party cardstock by Stampin' Up. The sentiment is from Tin of Tags by Stampin Up. The lace border and snowflake punches are also by Stampin' Up.
Here I added Gloss White Nuvo Crystal Drops. While it was still wet I sprinkled some fine glitter to the Nuvo Drops.
Here I added some Jolee's snowflakes. This card I used some Riding Hood Red Cardstock.
For this one I added some grosgrain ribbon and used a sentiment from "More Merry Messages" from Stampin' Up!

Christmas Cards

Now that my Craft shows are over I have time to work on Christmas cards! I found a similar card on Pinterest by a Shelley M. I changed up the papers based on what I had.  For this card I changed the placement of the snowflake.
I colored the image with Copic markers.  It is hard to see in the photos, but I added some Glaze pens to the stars, beads and poofy thing on the hat as well as to the eyes and mouth. Then I added some Moonlight White Archival Brilliance ink to the scalloped circle using a sponge dauber.
For the snowflake I only had these 3 snowflake punches. I wanted a few different patterns on my snowflake.
So I punched one of the orange and red snowflake punch. When I got to the purple punch first I punched it out with red, then again 1 time plus an extra "arm" with kraft. For the kraft one I cut the snowflake apart then layered it onto the snowflake as shown.
Then for the red snowflake I cut it smaller by cutting two of the "bumps" on each "arm". I then added it to the top of the snowflake and added a pearl to the center.
Over all I am happy with the card. I'm just not sure about the snowflake placement. I plan on making another and I will play with the snowflake placement.

I am scheduling my card posts until after Christmas so the receivers don't see them ahead of time. ☺

Christmas Cards Another Style

I am trying to use some of my patterned papers on cards this year. I always seem to have problems adding papers to my cards for some reason. For these cards I didn't want them to be overly frilly so rather then using ribbon I went with natural twine. I added some details to each scallop circle. I made each one a little different. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's "Tin of Tags" set.
This one I used an Olive Twist Smooch ink.
This one features the Gelly Roll Silver star pen.

I also used another Gelly Roll pen that was morw of a sparkle silver.
