2018 Christmas Cards

Here are a few if the Christmad cards I made and sent out in 2018. Sometimes I get stuck on a particular layout and I can't stay from it for some reason. So I used some cars sketches to get ideas for the layouts if some of my cards this year.
The first one features a swirl embossed background, Perfect Pines tree as well as a glittered tree behind it. The patterned paper is from my stash of goodies. Stickles added some red sparkle to the green tree.
Next I used a "Joy" stamp which I colored with my copics and then added some sparkle with a silver sparkle pen. I added a snowflake embossed panel and finished it off with some paper piercing.
This card layout was actually from one that I had made many years ago for a swap with my fellow Stampin Up demonstrators. The snowflake was from Snow Swirled and when open the 3 snowflakes can spin on the piece of fishing line that they are attached to. I added some embossing and some Very Vanilla 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

I did make a few other versions of cards, but I.am not finding photos, so I will have to look for them.

2017 Christmas Cards

In 2017 I tried to make a bunch of different Christmas cards to send out to my friends and family members. I made an attempt to make as many different cards as possible. While this sounds easy enough...it wasn't. Here are some of the cards that I made.

Camping, fishing, crafting, Scouts...oh my! 2017 and 2018 was a whirlwind of activity! In July 2017 we added this to our camping equiptment:
My husband has been saying for YEARS that he wanted a PopUp trailer. I did NOT want s PopUp. I am perfectly fine camping in a tent. He hates it. I could count on one hand how many times he actually went camping with us as a family. So when we went "to look" at the trailers I told him No way were we getting a PopUp. So we ended up with the RV above, a Jayco Hybrid. Three beds folded out with canvas sides. It had a stove, fridge, heat and AC. In the beginning we did like it, however those beds....uncomfortable and difficult to put in and out. 😣 Also because I get motion sickness, My daughter and I each had a bed to ourselves, and my hubby and son shared a bed. To get to their bed you had to climb across the bench seat. VERY ANNOYING!
So then we upgraded and hubby got a "big boy truck". The downside was my truck, fondly known as Shania, was traded in and I now have the SUV.
The following July we decided to upgrade! This new RV has a bigger fridge, sink, bunk beds, bigger bathroom, bigger table, the kids have bunk beds, and the hubby and I have a Queen sized bed. There is also a couch! Oh and lots more room to move!
People keep teasing him about upgrading again next July, but we will be keeping this one for a while.
We camped more in that year then in the 18 years prior to that!! Yes it still rains, and yes there are some really hot days, but this baby makes it all bearable!!!
I still do tent camping a lot with the Cub/Boy scouts. But man is it nice to get away in the RV!!!
